Isn't Everything Obama's Fault?

Seriously, now.....what a dipshit....

In an interview Monday with Fox News Channel, Trump said that he believes his predecessor is helping to organize the protests -- even though there is no evidence that Obama has been personally involved in mobilizing opposition to Trump.
"I think that President Obama is behind it because his people certainly are behind it," Trump said. "In terms of him being behind things, that's politics. It will probably continue."

Potty Mouth

Of course, they were a lot grosser than, say, school bathrooms.....of course, the schools are the ones going up against the Shitgibbon's BS.....

Board No More

I'm really bummed.  IMDB closed their message boards.   They tried to blame it on trolls - but ya know, those can be dealt with.  Lazy shits.

Moi, being a foreign and vintage movie lover, never saw them.  The trolls evidently hang where the newer movies are, and never bothered with movies that were over their heads.

While IMDb’s message boards have never been a paragon of challenging critical discourse, they have offered an accessible platform through which to have fun talking about cinema. They represented a lively and often bellicose online community that for many will be missed. Film blogger and cinema studies master’s student Caroline Madden has been an active member of the boards for 11 years, first using them as a teenager when she didn’t have friends who shared her passion for film.
“I made friends on the message boards over my favorite film and actor at the time, Moulin Rouge and Ewan McGregor. We would trade fan-fiction ideas, our favourite parts of the film and generally fangirl about Ewan McGregor.”

I remember many actors and crew members posting on the boards themselves.  This is history, just GONE.   The actor from Uncle Nino posting on the board for his movie, and for his own actor's page board....crew from a 1940s Bette Davis movie giving the scoop...you can't replace this.  Shame on them.

Thai, Anyone?

I'm learning to cook Thai.  Discovered there is a pretty good restaurant near my son's school, and I'm sold.  Hub is ok with it as long as it's not real hot - which at least I can control.

Anyone with suggestions of good dishes - or online resources you particularly like - I appreciate your input!

What Is and What Isn't Fake News

I like this chart.  I hope you can read it - some of the news sources are kinda small print.  But it's good for when people say, "I read it on Breitbart!" and you can show them just how much trash that really is....

THIS is Medicaid

The Huffington Post has just printed the best article explaining Medicaid that I have ever read.

Chances are, you probably know someone who benefits from Medicaid:
  • Your child’s classmate with cerebral palsy might rely on Medicaid for crutches, physical therapy, and transportation to get to and from medical appointments and after-school programs.
  • Your elderly neighbor’s primary form of health care might be Medicaid, helping her to stay in her own home and volunteer in your community.
  • The woman with intellectual disability working as a part-time bagger at your local grocery store might use a Medicaid personal care attendant to help her eat, bathe, dress, and get to work.
Can you imagine if your child’s classmate, your elderly neighbor, or the worker at your local grocery couldn’t get medical care, or was forced into a nursing home or institution because they couldn’t get the services and supports they need?

I think I might cry, the rest is so good.  I want to shove it down a few people's throats, too.

Heart is Broken

I was planning on going to his concert here next month.........
Al Jarreau, a versatile vocalist who sold millions of records and won a string of Grammys for his work in pop and R&B as well as his first love, jazz, died on Sunday in Los Angeles. He was 76.
His death was announced by his manager, Joe Gordon, who said that Mr. Jarreau had been hospitalized for exhaustion two weeks ago. On the advice of his doctors, he had canceled his tour dates and retired from touring.
Mr. Jarreau did not begin a full-time musical career until he was nearly 30, but within a few years he had begun attracting notice for a vocal style that was both instantly appealing and highly unusual. Critics were particularly taken by his improvisational dexterity, in particular his virtuosic ability to produce an array of vocalizations ranging from delicious nonsense to clicks and growls to quasi-instrumental sounds.
Sad, sad Monday.  Here is one of my favorites, which I got to see him perform live from about 20 feet away in Philly back in '79.

Keep These in Mind

This is a list of those Republican senators who voted for DeVoucher, who are up for nomination in 2018.  These are the people we need to work AGAINST.

None of them are close to *Moi state, of course.  But I will donate to their opponents and do anything else I can.

Flake- AZ
Wicker- MS
Fischer- NE
Heller- NV
Corker- TN

In Case You Were Wondering....

Here's how much DeVoucher paid all the GOP senators....  Hmmmm.....no Ds on that list.

So, when she dismantles the DOE, and they grub all the money from it, you know who did the most damage and will get the most $$$ out of it.  FUCK them ALL.

Sean Who?

I'm sure you've all seen this.   Funniest thing since Kerry Washington did the What Does My Girl Say video...

Here is something you will never forget.  From now on, every time you see him, you will think of this.

Kentucky, of course.  Land of No Teeth.

On the same day the Senate confirmed President Trump’s secretary of Education pick by a historically narrow margin, a House Republican introduced legislation to abolish the entire department Betsy DeVos will lead.

Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill is only a page long, after merely stating the Department of Education would terminate on Dec. 31, 2018.

Massie believes that policymakers at the state and local levels should be responsible for education policy, instead of a federal agency that’s been in place since 1980.

That is all.

No, it isn't.

Fuck you, you fucking fucker.  You suck animal dick, you fucking piece of horse shit.

No Excuses, Redux.

Sometimes I don't have anything to say.  Other days, I am overwhelmed.....others, I am out at Bug's (like this past weekend).  But, I'm baack!

Have been very involved with the DeVos hearings.  Trying to lobby, writing letters, making phone calls, tweeting, faxing - watching - which eats my data.

One of the things that really pisses me off about this is that it is blatantly all about the big, sloppy, money orgy.   The Rs spent their weekend with Trumplethinskin in Mar-a-Lago and all his big money friends.  Was DeVos there?  Maybe her wallet was....

This morning has been great.   The "debate" has been full of excellent point.

Sherrod Brown was awesome, talking about how the Rs suck the money out of any area that is lucrative and then leave it to rot and die.  That's one of Hub's worst peeves.....

Claire McCaskill just killed it, talking about how busing all the kids who will go to these charters will cost the rural districts in Missouri millions of dollars.  I have been talking about this for months.

Patty Murray looks as fresh as a daisy.  There must be locker rooms there somewhere so that they can shower.

The vote is at noon.  Pat Toomey is still a maybe.  Supposedly.  I think he's a DeVos hag. He doesn't care if he's re-elected, he is going to get some big lobbying job when he's done. He was with the Koch brothers last week.  Fucking Waldo.

I will say that the people lobbying him have been relentless.  So much so that his phones have gone down several times.  He put a post on his Facebook page telling people to use his website to contact him.  It's down.  And there are over 28,000 comments on the post - 24,000 of which were there within 10 hours.  Heh.

I know several Rs who have vowed to go door to door supporting his opponent.  There is a $3.5M fund someone has raised which money will go to his opponent.  That actually might be better spent keeping Sen. Casey....or even Gov. Wolf.....

Have You Seen This Man?

He's been missing for quite some time.   Many people have been to all eight of his office to see him, but to no avail.......he's supposed to be in his Philly office every Tuesday for office hours, but has not been in quite some time.   Not there any of the other days, either....

Peeples 2 B In Charge

So names are being thrown around for future elections.  Who could beat Trump?  What about the DNC chair?

This question has been punted around our "secret" Facebook group for PA people who want to complain about politics.  ;)  Let's chat about the President, since he's the one we want to get rid of most.....

Of course, we all wish Oprah would run.  Hey, she certainly can't be any less qualified than Cheeto Head, and SHE hasn't declared bankruptcy 3x.

Outside of Bernie (who IMO is just going to be too old, even though I love him dearly), Cory Booker seems to be the one I hear most.  But, he voted against cheaper prescriptions, is the main complaint.   I think he's still a wee bit green.....

Then you get Caroline Kennedy.  She's been booted from her ambassadorship, and we hear she is finally coming out and running for Senate.

Someone suggested our senator (the one with brain cells) Bob Casey.  Problem with him, he is the Perry Como of the Senate.  ZZZzzzzzzzz.......  You could not listen to him speak without eventually zoning out.  You tell me....

All I can see is that SCTV imitation of Perry Como....

Personally, I like Cecile Richards.  NO BS there.   And Jennifer Granholme.  And I would think guys might like to vote for good looking women who aren't "threatening"....even though, yes, Cecile an PP.  But still......  Tammy Duckworth is another, and I also like Joaquin Castro - but I think he might be a little green as well.

Or, Maggie Hassan?

Got any suggestions?
