Signed Sealed Delivered.

A statement released on behalf of Stein circulated on Twitter Monday afternoon. The statement said recounts could begin in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — another state where the candidate has filed — as soon as this week.
"Americans deserve a voting system we can trust," Stein said in the statement, released by the public relations firm Berlin Rosen. "After a presidential election tarnished by the use of outdated and unreliable machines and accusations of irregularities and hacks, people of all political persuasions are asking if our election results are reliable."
It continued: "We must recount the votes so we can build trust in our election system. We need to verify the vote in this and every election so that Americans of all parties can be sure we have a fair, secure and accurate voting system," Stein wrote.

They've been collecting affidavits and providing a free notary - well, one who will bill Jill Stein - and the lines into the county Dem office have been going nonstop.

We shall see.  Trying not to get hopes up.

Don't Spend Thanksgiving with Turkeys

I have been busy, back to DC and all over.....and when I'm away, I don't take my computer as a rule.  Unfortunately, I can't type on my tablet or my phone, or I'd post from one of those.

But we are off to DC again, this time to have Thanksgiving with Bug.  He has to work both Wed & Fri, and I'm not into driving 12 hours back and forth in two days, so we'll miss the family dinner this year.

However, I am proud to say - and am 99.999% sure - that all my family and family friends who usually attend Thanksgiving dinner at my cousin's house all voted Dem.  And that means they voted for Hillary, and the dinner conversation will be welcoming and not at all argumentative.

Here's hoping you all have a Thanksgiving without the nastiness of the last two weeks --

A Tickie to Washie

Got my bus ticket for the Million Woman March for the day after the inauguration.  Going with a local Dem group.  I have no desire to drive in that mess.

Anyone want to lay bets as to whether they are going to try and gas us?  Or, Hub says maybe they'll call in the National Guard....

So today, on Facebook, I get this.....

Welcome to Trumpsylvania, people!!!   On the very last day of the session, when we were supposed to just be voting on Leadership, the #PAGOP - not wasting a second to thrust PA back 40 years aaaand to make sure us ladies know our place, are going to reverse Supreme Court precedent by eliminating a woman's right to choose. Call your Senators now!!
So we did.  Sneaky freeking bastards.  Thought that we would be distracted and they would pass it.  And then they would use it against Gov. Wolf when next election rolls around.  These pro-lifers are really pieces of work.

UPDATE: The PA Senate has pulled HB1948! Thank you so much to everyone who called their state senator! This bill was pulled because of YOUR VOICE! We showed great activist power today, keep it close by because we'll need it in January--when we expect to see this ban again. #WeWontGoBack

Yeah, assholes.  Bite me.  Wuss out much?

Emerging From the Abyss.

Slowly.  Can't do too much at once, the election really threw me for a loop.  Tired of the right wing Facebookers yelling "move on" when ya know, my kid is my kid, and how can I move on?  These assholes affect his life much more seriously than they ever affect their own.  Or mine, for that matter - at least, if I didn't have a disabled kid.

The Bannon appointment is seriously over the top.  FYI, when referring to Bannon, please call him what he is - a Neo Nazi. Don't use the term "White Nationalist" because stupid people don't know what that means.

Bannon  has said, "I've got a cure for mental health issue(s).....spank your children more."

The thing, however, that has been bringing me around is reading all the Biden-Obama memes.   Gotta love Uncle Joe.

Here are some links to the better collections, and a few samples.  Enjoy.  :)

Another Empty Chair....

Long long ago (2004?!) I started bloggging because I was a Deaniac.   He was so different from all the politicians, and he started the grassroots way of life.

But, Scream.  Stripped, Poof!  Demoted.  Then resurrected to DNC chair.

Howie did do a good job when he was DNC chair in the 2000s, IMO he was responsible for getting President Obama elected.  And now, after DWS was punted - she screwed the country out of Bernie Sanders and into a Trump presidency - he wants it back.

We need to go forward.

In an interview, Sanders said he is lobbying for Ellison and argued that the DNC needs to be reoriented so that it becomes less of an insiders' club “preoccupied” with raising money and more of an advocate for the concerns of the working class.
“You can’t tell working people you’re on their side while at the same time you’re raising money from Wall Street and the billionaire class,” Sanders said. “The Democratic Party has to be focused on grass-roots America and not wealthy people attending cocktail parties.”
Sanders acknowledged the need for the party to continue its function as a fundraising vehicle but suggested a model akin to his presidential campaign, which raised much of its money from small-dollar donors.
“Millions of people are willing to put in 20 bucks, 30 bucks, 50 bucks if there’s a party to believe in,” Sanders said.

Go here and agree.  You'll get on his mailing list, but, they don't make you nuts with it.

The Rise of Voldemort

This is probably the best discussion I have heard in years on a political talk show.

I wish they had listened before the election.....but of course, DWS took care of that....and therefore, black people didn't vote Dem.

It's a long video (44 minutes!) but TOTALLY worth it.

Talk to Moi About This.

Ya know...I always thought Trump was a phony, never really expecting to win. But what if it's more than that?

Trump, having been a Democrat until what, a couple of years just never know, he could go right back to being one in practice.   It's not grasping, he isn't stable.   Wouldn't that be a hell of a payback moment?

Think about it. he is NOT a typical Repub.  He likes to spend money.  You know, on the Best.  They don't like to spend money on squat....

The Congress critters backed off supporting Trump, and that made HIM look to John Q. Public like He is Radical Change.   And just because their names were on the ballot, they get reelected as well.  Trickle down elections.   And they voted for him, too, so after the fact they look good (even though he may be totally expecting it).

Wouldn't they shit if he flipped on them. TOTALLY entirely possible.  That's the risk you take, the man is not predictable, to say the least....they may be expecting it, for that matter.   You run as an R, make sure WE all get re-elected.  We ALL win.  And we don't give a shit what you do after that...

It could be more simplistic or more complex than this.  But it's entirely feasible.

Or maybe I should just wake up from the nightmare.

Sick of the Excuses.

PEOPLE. Third Party voters and Berners did NOT give Trump Pennsylvania. He won by too much in a variety of places.  And, HALF OF THE REGISTERED VOTERS IN THE COUNTRY DID NOT VOTE. Hear that?  Obama had the record numbers, and that was something like 60%.

In our precinct, we have 1286 total registered voters. 73% of them came out to vote.  BUT Normally 350 or so of these people vote. Most are Republican.   34% of the total vote here was Dems. There are no Berners here. It's pretty typical of much of the Pennsyltucky part of PA.

The Republicans who NEVER vote are the ones who came out.  Those that live under rocks.  Those that didn't care. The Amish came out in droves.

If you've watched Michael Moore's TrumpLand, you know that the movie explains it pretty well.

In the end, the man who turned the election into a Reality TV show outconned them all - a man who has declared bankruptcy 3x who has promised to defund climate change research......gang, we are in for a big time recession. With corporations making profit off of all of us.  Have a kid with disabilities?  Oh, well, sucks to be you (or Moi).

We here in PA have always lived in a red state. We've always known it.  We don't call that middle part Pennsyltucky for nothing.

And now the world knows it.   They have seen the rotten core.

There are casualties all around.  Both parties have been shredded.  They are not the same.  We are not the same.

We would not feel the grief had we not already felt the pain. We will find someone else.  Someone with no baggage, someone men will vote for, someone minorities will love.  We WILL find her.

And you won't see her coming until it's too late.

Until I can find words, enjoy Bon Jovi from Monday night's rally in Philly.   If you can do it without crying....

Clintons and Obamas and Springsteen and BonJovi, Oh My

Kinda pissed right now. Trying to find out about access to the Big Event downtown tonight for a friend with a child in a wheelchair. Calling everywhere. Called Philly Tourism because I couldn't get the Indy Hall no., and both of the folks I talked to there were EXTREMELY nice. But knew nothing, Indy Hall office is closing at noon. I don't blame them.
Philly Dem office passes me on to a woman in the HFA office, who says in a smartass way "It's not my job to know. It's my job to get her elected so there is access everywhere." Obviously a 23 yo poli sci grad lemming with no clue as to what I was even asking. Serves her right to be getting those calls all day, heh - thanks Philly Dems.
When your candidate has a platform which is based on kids (and disabilities), you need to realize that Information IS access. If you don't know something FIND THE HELL OUT.
But as for the rally - both Springsteen and BonJovi are BOTH from NEW JERSEY, NOT Philadelphia.
WTH peeps, no black stars, let alone none from Philly?   Not even Patti LaBelle?  The Roots?  Um, don't you want ALL the Philly People to want to come out?
At this point I don't really care if I go or not. I'm sure it would be amazing.  But it would also be a mess....

Update, 11/9/16:

I did go.  Irt was awesome.  And I will talk about yesterday's debacle later when I am a little less zombified.

On the Road Again....

Off to DC again, it's a Bug weekend.  So I apologize for non-original posting while I'm gone.

Or, you could watch this.   Tried to post the whole playlist, but it wouldn't work.  Of course, you can just keep clicking on the ones in the right sidebar.
